5 Brands Of Women’s Jeans Available At Nordstrom: Here’s My Review.

Jeans are one of the most important purchases in your wardrobe. You can do anything in jeans. Not only are there hundreds of styles and colors, but they are versatile, and can be dressed up or down for almost any occasion. My favorite pair of jeans are the ones that are cohesive with your personal style, that tell the story of the side of your character you’ve chosen to play that day.

Some days, there’s nothing sexier to me than a pair of perfectly fitted jeans and a form-fitting t-shirt. It’s relaxed, but still in touch with your sensual side. Especially, when you place a good lace contour plunging bra underneath like this one from Thirdlove. The part that makes jeans so sexy, is that have this power to make you feel strong and sure of yourself. You can do anything in the right pair of jeans. Granted, they don’t have the same captivating affect that a dress has, but they carry out their mission of functional and stylish just fine.

Why It’s Important To Have Different Brands Of Jeans.

Before my infamous closet detox, I had over twenty pairs of jeans in my closet perfectly fitted for a range of occasions. I’d switch up my jeans with different shoes to get the look I was going for. I love a good pair of pumps and bootcut jeans for a good work-from-home look, and high-waisted denim with sexy, strappy heels for a night out on the town. Throughout the years, I’ve learned which brands of jeans work for me as my body and style has fluctuated and evolved. Express Jeans will always be a top contender because they just make great quality jeans that last a really long time and fit really well. But, for this post I’m reviewing jeans that I’ve found by going to stores, seeing what fit best, and checking to see if these brands are all available online at Nordstrom.

5 Brands of Nordstrom Jeans: Pros and Cons, Product Details, and Where To Buy.

Good American Good Legs Crop Jeans.

I bought this pair of black suede-like denim because I still wanted to look like I was wearing black skinny jeans without wearing black skinny jeans. You feel me? Lately, black distressed jeans are everywhere. I wanted something different while still getting the look of black skinny jeans because their so damn versatile, and black is one of my favorite colors.

Pros: These suede-like denim jeans fit beautifully. Good American really knows what they’re doing, and have truly solved the problem of jeans that gap in the back. They’re easy to wear, have a flexible fit, and they are dressy enough to wear to work.
Cons: I haven’t even owned them a year, and they started to fuzz at the inside of my thighs from wear. Also, I like to wear knee-high stockings under my jeans/pants when I’m dressing them up with pretty shoes. When I wore them with knee-high stockings, the suede material made them bunch, stick to the stockings, and ride up, which looked unflattering as I walked around throughout the day.

AG Adriano Goldschmied Jeans: The Ex-Boyfriend Relaxed Slim Jean.

Not all jeans that make you feel sexy need to be tight and molded to your body. Sometimes I feel sexy in a relaxed pair of boyfriend jeans paired with a low-cut t-shirt or an unbuttoned flowey blouse, some chic heels, sunglasses and a great handbag. It’s important to leave some things to the imagination. This is a great at-home pair of jeans, or denim that’ll give you that effortlessly sexy, “I’m not trying too hard, but I’m still trying” kinda look.

Pros: A very comfortable, relaxed fit. Gives you that perfect casual, flirty at-home with my boyfriend look. Very durable, very well-made, color doesn’t fade after multiple washes, and you can roll the cuff up or down for a couple different ways to style.
Cons: Boyfriend jeans are stylish, but they often give you just one kind of look. That relaxed fit look. It pairs beautifully with a blazer and camisole tank or a simple chic t-shirt, but these jeans don’t often take you much farther than that. It’s simply a style preference. Also, from a stylist perspective, the fit doesn’t work well with bigger on the bottom body types because these jeans tend to have a tendency to make you look boxy if not styled right.

  • Color: 7 Years Earnest Destructed
  • Dramatic whiskering and fading add dynamic dimension to the rich blue wash of comfy cropped boyfriend jeans cut in a trim silhouette.

7 For All Mankind Skinny Coated Jeans.

This was my second pair of 7 For All Mankind jeans. Both purchased at Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack. My first pair was a simple high-waisted blue distressed denim jean with a frayed hem. I ventured away from the typical blue jean and tried a wax-coated skinny jean in a beige color. I absolutely love these jeans.

Pros: These jeans are so comfortable despite being wax-coated, they are super flexible and I can work and move in them so easily. They stay put and I don’t have to adjust them throughout the day. Although, these jeans are a stiffer fabric, they still move with my body and make me feel feminine. I also love how the color works beautifully with fall brown tones, but can also be spun as a spring neutral when paired with a white blazer, white blouse, white pumps, and a chunky necklace to soften and pull both colors together.
Cons: Since they’re a beige brown, the color can go with so many things but it’s a bit more limiting depending on your shoes and wardrobe items you already own. Not necessarily a con depending on how you look at it, but the wax-coated skinny jean does have a distinct look and feel and isn’t as versatile as a brown skinny jean without the coating.

Product Details:

  • B(air) High Waist Ankle Skinny in Coated Black (coated beige no longer available)
  • Style Number: AU8693930C
  • Cost: $195.00 currently on sale for 25% off.
  • Available in sizes up to 32.

Where To Buy: Available at nordstrom.com (currently sold out) or 7forallmankind.com.

Madewell Skinny Jeans.

Madewell has some of the most comfortable jeans I’ve ever worn. Their stretch skinny jeans make you feel like you’re wearing leggings around the house. They’re styles are pretty traditional, and basic but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. We all need those reliable, brand of jeans that are a wardrobe staple item.

Pros: The comfortability of these jeans is a strong plus. They are super soft to the touch, and pretty much perfect for staying at-home and stretch enough to show off all of your beautiful curves. If you’re looking for simple, stretch skinny jean, and want to wear them with a basic chunky sweater, this is your brand. They are cozy, comfy, and really flexible for running after your kids or getting things done around the house.
Cons: I did buy a pair of drop-hem skinny jeans that ripped in the inner thigh from wearing them to my retail job. So, I’m not sure of the durability of the jeans that aren’t stretch skinny jeans. Also, I recommend finding your perfect size. Because my previous pair that ripped, I bought a pair one size up out of fear. Now, they bunch in the crotch. But, again that’s most likely due to the extra fabric, and not the jean structure. You’ll have to try different styles on and see what size is best in each fabric.

Product Details:

  • The Road Tripper Skinny Jean
  • Style #H5804 from the Spring 2018 line
  • Current Cost: $59.97 at NordstromRack.com, $75.00 at Madewell
  • Color: Orson Wash with whiskering and fading details
  • Available up to size 24.

Where To Buy: They are pretty popular, and currently sold out at Nordstrom and Madewell.com, but here’s a similar pair you can try.

Joe’s Jeans.

I remember the first time I went into a Joe’s Jeans store in SoHo NYC. It was a whole vibe, and the salespeople were helpful, knowledgable, but game me my space. The dressing rooms were nice and spacious with the perfect lighting. The feature photo of this post was actually taken at Joe’s Jeans in SoHo. I’m gonna be honest. Joe’s Jeans and Express are some of my favorite jean brands.

Pros: Joe’s Jeans fit flawlessly. I don’t know how they do it, but they fit me so well. I’ve had different pairs and styles, and they all have their own unique look and fit. I absolutely love their high-waisted jeans. They are so comfortable I have literally napped in them. Also, their jeans have a nice range of denim washes that offer a nice range of non-traditional blue hues. I also like the look and feel of their jean styles. I feel strong and sexy when I’m wearing Joe’s Jeans. Plus, they’re an eco-friendly denim company.
Cons: My first pair of jeans fit like a glove. I literally wore them everywhere. But, they eventually ripped on me. The belt loop and the heavy shredding at the knee ripped beyond repair. It made me so sad. I got a good 3-4 years out of them. Some of my Express Jeans lasted over a decade. So, I can’t help but be a tad disappointed when I invest in jeans and they don’t go the distance.

  • Color: Hemlock
  • Available in up to size 34.
  • Current Cost: $178.00
