Top Skin Care Products From Target.

top target skin care products

Before Carrie Bradshaw made it cool, I was mixing high end and casual, cost-effective fashion for decades. My casual chic sense of style was born and I was having a blast. Like many women, I love luxury at an affordable price. I don’t believe that you have to sacrifice style and beauty to stick to a budget. The iconic Marilyn Monroe used Vaseline in her skin care routine. Today, I’m sharing 9 skin care products that I have on my vanity right now all available at Target.

How Your Style Informs Your Skin Care Routine.

I still remember my humble beginnings of sifting through Hefty bags of hand-me-downs looking for the perfect outfit. I learned to get creative with limited resources at a young age. I’ve always enjoyed the challenge of getting the most bang for my buck while still looking stylish and chic. If you’re an avid reader of my blog, than you know that one of my favorite things to wear is my 15-year old Express denim jean jacket.

Below I’ve listed 9 skin care products that I’m currently using from Target. Because who doesn’t love beauty on a budget? I certainly do. I’ve always been a fan of mixing affordable products with more expensive ones. For example, I’ll use Vaseline as a foot cream and overnight moisturizer and then wear Fenty Beauty makeup. Not everything needs to be expensive, and not everything needs to be drug store brand either. Invest where it’s important to you. Here’s some of my favorite Target skin care products below.

9 Skin Care Products Available At Target.

Thayers Witch Hazel Astringent: I have sensitive, acne-prone skin, so I use this as an astringent to treat breakouts. For me, break outs are usually caused by hormonal imbalance, eating too much sugar, or just from having oily skin.
COST: $10.99

Love Beauty and Planet Hand Cream and Body Lotion: I love the Murumuru Butter & Rose scent because I love all things floral, but they have many different kinds to choose from. I carry hand cream in my purse to moisturize my hands on-the-go, and keep the pump body lotion on my vanity at home. I love the way it makes my skin glow. I always apply it after I get out of the shower.
COST: $4.99 hand cream, $6.99 body lotion.

Nutiva Virgin Organic Coconut Oil: I always say if I could only pick 3 things to take with me while stranded on an island, one of them would be coconut oil. I can’t rave about this product enough. It can be used for so many things! It’s anti-fungal, anti-bacterial and moisturizing. I mainly use it as body lotion, sunscreen, makeup remover and an overnight moisturizer. I also add it to my morning smoothies for a healthy fat!
COST: $17.99 for 54 oz. container.

Schmidt’s Rose + Vanilla Deodorant: I am obsessed with this stuff. It keeps you smelling so nice, and really works even on hot summer days! It’s aluminum-free and natural so it’s good for your body. I have sensitive skin, so I developed a rash and my underarms felt itchy. Then, I got used to the product and it cleared up. I tried so many natural deodorants and none of them gave me confidence like this one.
COST: $6.99

TRESemme Pro Pure Light Moisture Shampoo, Conditioner and Dry Shampoo: Once style blogger, Rocky Barnes with the good hair, posted this on her Instagram, I had to give it a try. I’ve been using it for a couple months and I like how my hair looks just as nice when I let it air dry and I can also use it for a good blow out. In the past I had blow out shampoo and conditioner and I’m happy to have found something that works for both hairstyles. Their dry shampoo isn’t as great as Drybar’s, but it gets the job done.
COST: $5.99 dry shampoo, $5.99 conditioner, and $5.99 shampoo.

Heritage Store Rose Petals Rosewater Spray: I learned about this product from another blogger. My favorite wellness blogger Jenny Sansouci of HealthyCrush.com shared this rosewater spray and I’ve been hooked ever since. I spray it on my face before and after makeup application. I also use it as a toner, too. It smells great, so sometimes I’ll even spray it to freshen up or wear it as light perfume. One 8 oz. bottle lasts a really long time.
COST: $10.29

The Honest Company Magic Gel-to-Milk Cleanser, Gentle Gel Cleanser, and Hydrogel Cream. I just recently bought these products and I love them! They cleanse my skin so nicely, and the moisturizer isn’t too thick. I tend to have oily skin, so I’m skeptical of moisturizers but this one was nice and light! I like to use the two cleansers together for a double cleanse when I wear makeup. Honest Beauty is a definite must try!
COST: $12.99 for both cleansers, $19.99 moisturizer.

Bonus Skin Care Product.

There you have it! 9 products I have on my vanity right now all available at Target. I followed a few steps from Marilyn Monroe’s beauty routine covered by Vogue, and sometimes use Vaseline for a moisturizer. I’ve used it on my face, and to treat my cracked heels. I lather my feet in Vaseline and put cozy socks on to moisturize them overnight. You can’t beat that spa treatment for $1.79 a jar!

What To Do Next.

COVID-19 has today’s shopping climate on lock down. Even though we can’t go to stores like we’re used to, I shared this post anyway. Because, Target is a grocer, and a currently open and operating, essential business. Plus! They deliver on Instacart! Which is what I’ve been using for all of my shopping needs, so I can do my part and #STAYHOME.

You can purchase all of these products from your own home with contactless delivery! It’s a great time to try new skin care products and see what works during quarantine. I hope you and your loved ones are healthy. We will get through this together. Feel free to bookmark this blog post, too if you’re cutting back on expenses at this time. Sending love.
